The South Laos climate is hot and humid around the year, it is of tropical climate zones with 2 seaons and a transitional period. East-North monsoon appears in dry seasons, though it does not have a considerable impact thanks to the block effect of Truong Son mountain range, it is still the main reasons for dry periods often taking place around Jan, Feb, Mar on an yearly basis. The East-North monsoon formation usually lasts from December to February and the West-Sounth monsoon happens in rainy season which is from May to August
