May, we commence to strategically bring a whole new group of “Summer Serve” people in order to jump on in!
Summer Serve has become a strategic part of our ministry rhythm! We have learned on the past seven summers that that not simply affords our leaders a break, but this gives us the opportunity so that you can meet a whole fresh “pond” of people to be able to fish from!
What do people mean by that? All year long, our people experience incredible training and worship in “big church.” God is truly working in them and growing them into the likeness of Jesus! From some point, people will be ready to be able to take a step of faith towards a portion role, and then we have found that Summer Serve is a good time for them so that you can make that first step out of their car seats and into service!
What do we do? We put a laser focus on the portion experience in the summertime. We want new people for you to realize that providing is truly a joy. They come in willing to help you help! But once they experience Jesus working through them impacting kids, we hear them say: “I didn’t know the idea was like this!” “I cherished the idea; when can I do the idea again?”
Every Sunday, we pray “God, television show me today who so that you can touch on the bare and request into service!” This never fails. He does. Each week, an individual shines! And then we bring. And we wait to determine what God does! People come back again. We find to determine them and encourage them again. And by the completed of this summer, we don’t even must fish—they are jumping into the boat! And our rosters are full of brand new people to love on for the fresh season! And the “old” people return too!
Sound widespread? Jesus asked some fishermen who had been fishing all night long, without fish to help you display because of it in order to forged the web on the other side of this boat today! To help trust Him. And what took place? More fish than they could imagine. Sometimes God puts us in situations where that appears like there can be simply no answer. We now have tried everything.
