Property giant Ayala Land, Inc. is infusing an additional P1.1 billion into affordable housing unit Alveo Land Corporation to complete the subsidiary's P5.4-B funding requirement. In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, ALI said the funds needed by Alveo is based on its 2013 capital expenditure program approved in 2012. Prior equity infusions of P2.3 billion and P2 billion were previously approved by the ALI board of directors meeting on May 2011 and May 2012, respectively. Ysmael said they are hoping to get approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission for the float which they plan to launch in early September.
In the same disclosure, ALI said its board has also approved a 14.348287 centavo cash dividend per outstanding share, for a total of P2 billion, payable on September 20, 2013 to stockholders of record as of September 6, 2013. This regular cash dividend for the second semester ending December 31, 2013 reflects a 38 percent increase from last year's second half dividend of 10.385223 per share and will bring ALI's dividend payout to 45 percent of prior year's earnings. Ayala Land and its non-public subsidiaries are raising at total of P12 billion from the listed debt market to support their capital expenditure programs.

We look forward to everyone's stronger support in the last tranche of the ALI parent fundraising totaling P6 billion as we move forward to the final leg of project trinity, realizing our aspiration to graduate Avida Land and Alveo Land to the debt capital markets with their respective maiden P3-billion bond issues," Ysmael said.
