May, we begin to strategically compel a whole fresh group of “Summer Serve” people to help you jump on in!
Summer Serve has become a strategic part of our ministry rhythm! We've got learned inside the past seven summers that that not merely affords our leaders a break, but it gives us the opportunity for you to meet a whole fresh “pond” of people for you to fish from!
What will i mean by that? All year long, our people experience awesome training and worship in “big church.” God will be working in them and growing them into the likeness of Jesus! In some point, people will be ready to be able to take a step of faith in order to a helping role, and now we have found that Summer Serve is a great time for them to make that first step out of their car seats and into service!
What do we do? We put a laser focus on the helping experience in the summertime. We want new people to realize that preparing is a joy. These come in willing for you to help! But when they experience Jesus working through them impacting kids, we hear them say: “I didn’t know it was like this!” “I adored this; when could I do it again?”
Every Sunday, we pray “God, specify me today who to help touch on the bare and request into service!” That never fails. He does. Each week, an individual shines! So we compel. So we wait to have what God does! People come again. We find uncover them and encourage them again. And by the completed in the summer, we don’t even must fish—they are jumping into the boat! And our rosters are full of fresh people to be able to love on for the new season! And the “old” people return too!
