%%The province of Đồng Tháp is 160km southwest of Thành Phố Hồ Chí Minh. Its provincial capital is Sa Đéc. Dong Thap is co-inhabited by the Việt, Hoa, Khmer (Khơ Me), Chăm and Thái. It is also home to various religions : Buddhism, Caodaism, Hoahaoism and Catholicism. These are some tourist attractions of Đồng Tháp : * Lăng cụ phó bảng Nguyễn Sinh Sắc (Tomb of Junior Doctor Nguyen Sinh Sac) : Nguyễn Sinh Sắc (1862-1929) who won the "Junior Doctor" degree is father of the late President Ho Chi Minh (a great Vietnamese national hero). The tomb was built between August 1975 and February 1977 in memory of the man who had sacrificed his son to the noble cause of the nation. *Đài liệt sĩ (War Martyrs' Monument) is open to tourists who come to see its unique architecture and pay homage to heroes and heroines who laid down their lives for the cause of national independence. *Vườn sếu Tam Nông (Tam Nong Crane Ground) is the breeding ground of red-headed, bare-necked cranes, a rare, endangered species of land birds. They often live there from December to August. They have to migrate to other places to avoid the flood season in Đồng Tháp Mười (Plain of Reeds). They are very precious to Vietnamese as well as worldwide natural lovers. * Vườn hoa Tân Qui Đông (Tan Qui Dong Flower Gardens or Rose Gardens) * Vườn trái cây Châu Thành (Fruit Tree Gardens at Chau Thanh)
