%%Also named Triệu Âu, Triệu Thị Trinh, Triệu Trinh Nương, Bà Triệu (Lady Triệu) had Cửu Chân (present-day Thanh Hoá) as native land. In 248, she led an insurrection against the Ngô invaders and killed the Chinese governor of Chau Giao ( ancient Vietnam). When going to the front, she always wore an armour and was seated on an elephant. She was proclaimed General Nhụy Kiều by her troops. Being defeated by General Lục Dận, she committed suicide on the Tùng mountain (Hoằng Hoá, Thanh Hoá) on the 21st of the lunar second month. This explains why the yearly festival to her memory is held on that day. Legend has it that she had long breasts. It resulted in this saying : "She cannot help fighting the invaders, because they have flooded into her country. It is time to wave the flag, to pull up the breasts and to make the elephant rush out".
