%%The historian Phan Huy Chú (1782-1840) - Phan Huy ch's son - had Nghệ An as native village, but lived in Quốc Oai (Sơn Tây). This good student only graduated as junior bachelor. He was invited by King Minh Mạng to the royal city, appointed as messenger who would come twice to China and once to Indonesia. His mandarin lifetime passed through many vicissitudes. Eventually, under the pretext of illness, he asked for retirement and lived on teaching. Beside his four anthologies, Phan Huy Chú was the author of Hoàng Việt Dư Địa Chí and Lịch Triều Hiến Chương Loại Chí (encyclopedia on the life in Vietnam).
