%%With Yên Khánh (present-day Gia Khánh) as native village,Trương Hán Siêu (? - 1354) achieved many merits in the anti-Mongol resistance war. His mandarin lifetime passed through ups and downs, but the Trần Kings still considered him as master. He had a profound knowledge on Confucianism, but always criticized Buddhism sternly. Trương Hán Siêu was the author of Bạch Đằng Giang Phú (Ode on Bach Dang River), and together with Nguyễn Trung Ngạn compiled Hình Luật Thư (Penal code) and Hoàng Triều Đại Điển (Codified rituals of the royal court). He was worshipped at the Temple of Literature.
